Rajesh Hamal went to Dhangadhi to inaugurate Deuda festival. The locals in the area organized a welcome ceremony for the superstar of Nepali movie industry.
To welcome the actor, the Far-Western Cultural Group had also organized a motorcycle rally to escort Rajesh Hamal from the Dhangadi airport to the city.
Actor Sunil Thapa and actress Rekha Thapa are also planning to participate in the 3-day long Deuda festival later.
An actor Rajesh Hamal is his true identity and everything he becomes in a movie is a fake identity, true only for the length of the movie. When people heard about him becoming an editor, they go, 'What's the big deal? He has been in every kinds of profession in movies.'
Well, being an editor is not going to be a movie plot but a real life job for the superstar in Nepali movie industry. Rajesh has accepted an offer to become an editor of the English daily in Nepal, The Kathmandu Post. It is not a full editor but a new experiment by the newspaper to feature an celebrity editor for it's 'Editor of the month' section.
Rajesh will be the Editor of the month for the month of February, 2012.
On the occasion of Nepal Tourism year and House and land festival, Rajesh Hamal and Taekwondo player Dipak Bista were present in a program held in Chitwan's Ratna Nagar. (That was in February, 2011)
Rajesh Hamal has ruled Nepali movie industry for the last 22 years and his demand hasn't diminished at all. He is so busy that he only gets about 5 hours of rest in a day. According to his assistant Chiranjivi Acharya, Hamal has only 5 hours to eat, rest and sleep. Rest of the time he has to be present at the shooting spot.
Currently Rajesh Hamal is doing two movies. In the day, he is working in his upcoming movie 'Facebook'. The shooting usually finishes at around 5 PM. He has to start shooting of another movie 'Karbhahi' at 6 PM. The movie is usually shoot throughout the night.
With such a business, Rajesh hasn't been able to allocate time for his girlfriend. Although much of the information about his girlfriend is kept secret, he had previously admitted about his interest in marrying the girlfriend.
नेपाली सिनेमामा काम गर्ने अधिकांश कलाकारहरु छायांकनका क्रममा प्रायः सिनेमासँग नै आबद्ध हुन्छन् । चलचित्रको लागि आवश्यक पर्ने पोशाक डिजाईनरले तयार पारेको नै लगाएका हुन्छन् । छायांकनको क्रममा धेरैले सुटिङ स्पर्टमा नै खाना खान्छन् । तर नायक राजेश हमाल यो कुरामा केही फरक देखिन्छन् ।
राजेश हमाल कहिल्यै पनि छायांकनका क्रममा सुटिङको खाना खादैनन् । घर र बाहिर समेत खासै खाना खान नरुचाउने हमाल सुटिङको क्रममा फलफूल तर्फ बढी जोड दिएको पाईन्छ । यतिमात्र होईन, राजेश हमालले लगाउने कपडा समेत डिजाईनरले तयार गर्न पाउँदैनन् । हमालको कपडा सुटिङ युनिटसँग हुँदैन पनि । आफ्नो कपडा हमाल आफ्नै रुची अनुसारले बनाउँछन् र लगाउँछन् । चलचित्रमा कस्ता खालका कपडा चाहिन्छ भन्ने बुझेपछि हमाल आफंै कपडा बनाउन लगाउँछन् र सुटिङमा लिएर जान्छन् ।
उनको यो बानी पनि अचम्मको नै छ । कपडाको रकम चलचित्रबाट नै लिने हमालको कपडा चलचित्रका डिजाईनरले डिजाईन गर्दैनन् । चलचित्रको छायांकन स्थलमा उनले कपडा लिएर गएको देख्न पाईन्छ । यसमा राजेशका सहयोगीहरुले सहयोग गरेका हुन्छन् । तपाईले सिनेमामा देख्ने प्रायः हमालले लगाउने पोशाक उनको रुची अनुसारले तयार गरिएका हुन् ।
नृत्यमा समेत नृत्य निर्देशकको भन्दा आफ्नै स्टाईलले नाच्न रुचाउने हमालको बानी छ । यो बानीमा उनको पोशाक समेत मिसिएको छ । छायांकनको समयमा सुटिङ युनिटको खाना नरुचाउने हमालको कपडा पहिरिने तरीकालाई पनि मान्नैपर्छ । यसैले पनि हुनसक्छ, हमालले लगाउने अधिकांश चलचित्रमा पोशाक एकै प्रकारको रहेको देखिन्छ ।

Rajesh wrote the quote on the cloth to be used to spread message to keep the earth green. In the program organized by the Social Welfare club of Kathmandu College of Management on December 8, Rajesh Hamal was there to evaluate the art and slogan prepared by the students.
With Rajesh Hamal, singer Nima Rumba was also present. He wrote, "Hariyali Jogau, batawaran bachau." Literally meaning, 'save greenery, save the environment.'

सन्तोष पोखरेल, पोखरा, भदौ ४- अभिनेता राजेश हमाललाई अधिकांशले सोध्ने जिज्ञासा उनको बिहेमा घुम्ने गर्छ।
पोखराका सञ्चारकर्मीले समेत उनलाई यही प्रश्नले घेरा हाले। पोखरेली सञ्चारकर्मीको जिज्ञासाबाट उनी उम्कन पाएनन्। बिहेको प्रश्नमा उनको जवाफ सरल आयो, 'गर्लफ्रेन्ड'ले धोका नदिए २०१२ भित्र बिहे पक्का।'
हमालले आफ्ना लागि 'फिट' गर्लफ्रेन्ड भेटिएको र उनैसँग बिहेको तयारी भइरहेको बताए। तर, हमालले उनको परिचय भने खुलाएनन्। 'मैले भेटेको 'गर्लफ्रेन्ड'ले 'नाइँ' नभने अब बिहे पक्का हुनेछ,' उनले भने, 'तर गर्लफ्रेन्डले कहिलेसम्म अन्तिम निर्णय दिने भन्नेमा 'डेडलाइन' तोकेको छैन।'
२०११ भित्रै बिहे गर्ने सोच भए पनि विविध कारणले एक वर्ष पछाडि सरेको उनले बताए। 'सबै कुरा मिलाउँदै जाँदा केही समय पछि हुन गयो,' उनले भने, '२०१२ भित्रै बिहे पक्का हुन्छ, ममात्र तातेर मेरो बिहे हुने रहेनछ।'
हमालले २०१२ भित्र बिहे गर्ने थाहा पाएपछि एक ज्योतिषीले फोन गरेर २०१४ अघि बिहे नगर्न उनलाई सुझाएछन् पनि। तर, हमालले तीनै ज्योतीषिसँग सल्लाह गरेर २०१२ भित्रै बिहे गर्ने बाटो फुकाएका छन्।
'ज्योतिषीको सल्लाह बमोजिम 'गृहशान्ति' गरेर भए पनि २०१२ भित्र बिहे गर्ने बाटो फुकाएको छु,' पत्रकार महासंघ कास्कीको भवन अवलोकन गर्न शनिबार पुगेका हमालले भने, 'बस छुट्छ कि भन्ने डर लागेको छ, कुनै हालतमा बस छुट्न दिन्न।'
बिहेमा केटाकेटी तातेर नहुने भएकोले त्यसका लागि मध्यस्थकर्ताको आवश्यक पर्र्ने उनले अनुभव गरेका छन्। 'म तातेरमात्र बिहे हुने रहेनछ, मध्यस्थकर्ताको आवश्यकता पर्छ,' उनले भने, 'केटाकेटी मात्र होइन अरु पनि तात्नुपर्छ।'
बिहेको प्रष्टिकरणसँगै हमालले फिल्म खेल्ने आफ्नो उमेर अझैसम्म नढल्किएको बताए। फिल्ममा अभिनय गर्न थालेको दुई दशक नाघे पनि उमेर बाँकी रहेको उनको भनाइ छ।
'समय बित्दै जाँदा कलाकार गम्भीर र थप जिम्मेवार हुन्छन्, तर कलाकारिता जवानीमा निर्भर हुने पेशा भए पनि यसैप्रति समर्पित हुनेलाई फरक पर्दैन,' उनले भने, 'पेशाप्रति कुनै न कुनै भूमिकामा रहिरहन्छु।'
सरकारले हालैको बजेटमार्फत् पोखरामा व्यवस्थित फिल्म स्टुडियो बनाउने प्रस्ताव ल्याएकोमा हमाल खुशी छन्। उनले पोखरा आफैमा सुन्दर ठाउँ भए पनि सुटिङका लागि व्यवस्थित स्थल अभाव हुने गरेको बताए।
'सडकमै छायांकन गर्नुपर्दा दर्शकको भिडभाड हुने, फोहर बढ्ने, ट्राफिक व्यवस्थापनमा समस्या हुने गरेको छ,' उनले भने, 'व्यवस्थित ठाउँको अभाव खड्किएको छ।'
सुरुदेखि अन्तिमसम्मका सबै दृश्य एकै ठाउँमा खिच्न पाउने हो भने सुटिङ युनिटले कुनै झन्झट बेहोर्नु नपर्ने उनको भनाइ छ। 'सुटिङका लागि बाहिर कतै जान नपरोस भन्ने चाहना छ,' उनले भने, 'पोखराको हरेक ठाउँ फिल्मका लागि उपयुक्त भए पनि एकै ठाउँमा यी सबै पूर्वाधार हुने स्टुडियोको आवश्यकता रहेको छ।'
पत्रकार महासंघले अहिले पोखरामा करिब डेढ करोड रुपैयाँको लागतमा बहुउद्देश्यीय भवन बनाउँदैछ। भवन अवलोकन गर्न पुगेको हमालले कलाकारिताको क्षेत्रबाट पनि भवन निर्माणमा सघाउने बताए।
'धेरै पत्रकार मित्रहरुसँग भेटघाट भइरहन्छ, तर पत्रकार महासंघको कुनै पनि शाखामा गएको थिइनँ, यो नै पहिलोपटक हो।' विभिन्न संस्था र व्यक्तिको सहयोगमा कास्की महासंघले भवन बनाउँदैछ।
